The 2008 season will be the 2nd year of thebaseballjunkie.com and while the 2007 season was largely successful, we know that we can do better. As we will do every year, we aim to improve upon our product and increase our customer satisfaction. The first change we are making in 2008 is to provide more free content, which you will see reflected once the regular season starts. Our 1st priority here at thebaseballjunkie.com is to design a site that is easy to understand for any fantasy baseball fan. We provide valuable statistical insight that is easily translated into forward-looking results. Along with this, we will provide downloadable statistics that can be dumped into excel and viewed as you wish. I have won more leagues than I have lost over this 10 year period and base my decisions and analysis on statistics that aren't included in the 8 or 10 basic categories counted in most FLB leagues. I believe that judging a hitter by his power and plate discipline is more valuable than his average and rbi's. From a pitching standpoint, I ignore wins and ERA and believe the best way to judge a pitcher is by his ability to strike out batters and not walk anyone. I believe that these numbers are the best way to judge expectations for the coming season, and in the end, will show up in basic fantasy stats such as average, rbi, wins and era. Some of the rankings will surprise you, but remember that fantasy baseball isn't real baseball. Sign up today. It’s never too early to get a jump on your competition.
