-
Alex Rodriguez's (FA) value can't
increase by much, but he could be returning to the shortstop
position in 2008.
-
Josh Beckett (BOS) has always been one
of the most heralded pitchers in baseball, and he finally put it all
together in 2007. That being said, he was even better in the
post-season. He could be the 1st/2nd pitcher drafted (Peavy).
-
Jacoby Ellsbury (BOS) looks to be a
very similar player to Grady Sizemore, but he will play the 2008
season with a much better top of the order around him with Pedroia,
Ortiz and Manny hitting behind him. Look for a ton of steals,
but limited power in 2008.
-
Curt Schilling (BOS) had a very solid
2nd half and postseason. He'll be undervalued due to his age
heading into 2008, but don't forget about him, especially if he ends
up back in Boston.
-
Matt Holliday (COL) left little doubt
about how dominant a force he is at the plate. He should be a
late 1st round pick in 2008.
-
Coco Crisp (BOS) is likely to end up
playing outside of Boston in 2008 and could be a sleeper to put up
good numbers. He's still young and had a solid, but
unspectacular 2007 season.

-
Bobby Abreu's (NYY) value will be
dramatically impacted by A-Rod's departure. He is still a
solid option, but expect his run production to drop in 2008.
-
Jorge Posada (NYY) might face
unreasonable expectations following a career year, a potentially big
payday combined with his 37th birthday.
-
Brad Hawpe (COL) looked terrible in
the World Series. Despite the big year, he should be a platoon
player.
-
Takashi Saito's (LAD) value could be
diminished with the possibility of Mariano Rivera joining the Dodger
bullpen.
-
Jon Papelbon (BOS) is probably the
best reliever in baseball and could be for the next 10 years, that
said, will his value ever be higher?
