Batting
-
Jarrod
Saltalamacchia 2-2. With the release of Craig Wilson, 'Salty'
could benefit with increased playing time. His average is
sitting at .286 after Saturday's games with 3 bb's and 2 k's since
joining Atlanta at the beginning of May.
-
Jeff
Franceour 3-4 with his 7th home run. His average now sits at
.302 on the year, but he's has regressed back to his old habits this
month with only 3 bb's and 12 k's.
-
David Ortiz
3-3, with a walk. He's now sitting on a .314 average.
-
Mike Lowell
4-5 with his 8th home run. He's keeping pace with Ortiz so
far.
-
Coco Crisp
2-4 with his 8th double. He ended the day with a 6 game
hitting streak intact.
-
J.D. Drew
1-3 returning from a back injury.
-
Chipper
Jones 3-5 with his 12th home run to continue his hot hitting.
-
Kelly
Johnson 3-6 with his 7th double, 3rd triple and 6th home run.
Johnson has had a great season so far, average is nothing special,
but he's a great OBP, and will put up good power/speed numbers.
-
Brandon
Phillips 2-4 with his 7th home run.
-
Victor
Martinez 3-5 with his 8th double. Power numbers are solid, and
he's now hitting .328.
-
Travis
Hafner 1-4 with his 8th home run. A slow start, for him, but
he's heating up lately. He could be in for a big week.
-
Reggie
Willits 1-4 with his 10th stolen base. Will Garret Anderson
have a job when he comes back? Willits is exactly what they
need at the top of this lineup.
-
Mike Napoli
2-3 with his 3rd home run. He now has a 9 game hit streak and
3 doubles and 2 home runs in the last 6 of them.
-
Jim Edmonds
2-4. His 3rd multi hit game in his last 5, but his power is
still non-existant. Slugging is .284 on the year.
-
David
Eckstein 3-4. He's now 11 for his last 19, but has only 1
extra base hit and no stolen bases during that time.
-
Albert
Pujols 1-3 with 3 walks. He's quietly heating up - 8 for his
last 16 with 4 walks.
-
Curtis
Granderson 2-4 with his 15th double.
-
Magglio
Ordonez 2-4 with his 21st double. This year's Jermaine Dye?
-
Ivan
Rodriguez 2-4 with his 4th home run. We are pulling for him to
get to 10 walks this year, he currently has 2 - in 150 AB's.
-
Jack Cust
1-2 with his 8th home run, 2 bb's and a strikeout. He did it
again!
-
Elijah Dukes
2-3 with another leadoff home run. He now has 8 on the year.
He also walked once, to give him 21 on the season. A solid
number for the rookie.
-
Jeremy
Hermida 1-3 with his 2nd home run. Grab him if available.
-
Ichiro
Suzuki 2-5 with 2 more steals. The surge continues. His
average sits at .327 to go along with 11 steals. He has had
multi hit games in 7 of his last 8 games. One week ago he was
hitting .286 with 4 steals.
-
Khalil
Greene 2-4 with his 6th home run. His power numbers have been
great this year - he could be in for a big 2nd half.
-
Tadahito
Iguchi 3-4. He's on a mini-hot streak, hitting in 4 straight
games and he's 7-11 during this time.
-
Michael
Barrett 2-4 with his 7th home run. Home runs in 2 straight
games, and he has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games.
-
Endy Chavez
4-5. He's now 7 for his last 12 with a double and a home run.
Despite that he's not worth owning outside of NL-only leagues.
-
Jose Reyes
1-5 with his 24th and 25th steals. He's on pace for close to
100 steals this year.
-
David Wright
2-2 with 2 home runs, 3 walks and his 9th steal of the season.
It's safe to say that his power has returned.
-
Carlos
Delgado 2-5 with his 8th double. He has hit safely now in 11
of his last 14 games and his power should come around shortly.
August/September are typically his best months of the season.
-
Jorge Posada
4-5 with his 5th home run. He's now hitting .386 on the
season!
-
Alex
Rodriguez 2-4 with his 16th home run. This is only his 2nd
home run of the month.
-
Lyle Overbay
2-5 with his 6th home run. This was Overbay's 2nd consecutive
game with multiple hits and his average is over .250 for the first
time this season.
-
Robinson
Cano 2-5 with his 2nd home run. He now has a modest 4 game
hitting streak.
-
J.J. Hardy
2-4 with his 14th home run. See Cust, Jack.
-
Torii Hunter
2-4 with his 10th home run. He's having a great season.
-
Stephen Drew
3-6. He's now 5 for his last 9. Grab him while his stock
is low, although he won't hit for much power at this point of his
career.
-
Connor
Jackson 2-5 with his 2nd home run. He has homered in 2 of his
last 5 games.
-
Xavier Nady
3-5 with his 5th double. He's also 5 for his last 9.
-
Hunter Pence
2-4. The streak continues.
-
Todd Helton
2-3 with his 5th home run. Is his power coming back?
-
Ryan Shealy
3-4 with his 2nd home run. He's now 8-16 since returning from
the DL. Grab him before anyone else notices this.
-
Alex Gordon
1-4 with his 3rd stolen base. He's quietly hit safely in 5 of
his last 6 games.
Pitching
-
John Smoltz
7 IP, 3 hits, 1 bb and 7 k's to lower his era to 2.85 with a very
solid 3 to 1 k/bb ratio.
-
Fernando
Cabrera 0.1 IP, 3 walks and 3 earned runs. What happened here?
Time to cut the cord if you still have him.
-
Matt Cain
6.1 IP, 6 hits allowed, 4 walks and 9 k's. A three run home
run by Jack Cust (in the 1st) ruined his night.
-
Dan Haren 7
IP, 3 hits, 2 walks and 6 k's. His ERA rose to 1.74 and he
out-dueled Matt Cain.
-
Alan Embree
1 IP to pick up his first save. Calero got the hold.
-
Jeremy
Guthrie 7 IP, 4 hits, 0 walks and 10 k's. This might be looked
back on as the best game of his career. During his major/minor
league career, he has never struck out more than 6.6 per 9.
-
Shaun Marcum
6 IP, 4 hits, 1 walk and 6 k's. His 2nd consecutive solid
start - he's allowed 4 hits now in 12 innings as a starter.
Control had been an issue during his time at the major league level
- but it was always very strong during his minor league career.
-
Scott Baker
8.1 IP, 6 hits, 0 walks and 5 k's. Baker always had very good
minor league numbers, but he won't be a huge strikeout guy.
-
Wandy
Rodriguez 6 IP, 4 hits, 2 walks and 7 k's. His 2nd consecutive
solid start.
-
Taylor
Buchholz 7 IP, 5 hits, 2 walks and 4 k's. He's been up and
down all year.
5/19/07
Batting
-
Ty Wigginton
2-5 with 2 home runs. He now has 8 home runs on the year and
looks like a good bet to match last year's total of 24. His
plate discipline has actually been worse this year than in 2006.
-
Jeremy
Hermida 2-5 with his first double of the season. This actually
dropped his average all the way down to .471.
-
Aaron Boone
2-3 with his 2nd home run of the year. He'll get time this
weekend as Miguel Cabrera shifts to DH.
-
Hanley
Ramirez 1-5 with his 15th steal. He batted in the 3rd spot
again.
-
Grady
Sizemore 4-5 with 3 runs and 3 RBI's. He also hit his 7th home
run of the year and stole his 15th base.
-
Gary
Sheffield 2-5 with his 7th home run. He's been warming up
slowly with hits in 8 of his last 11 games.
-
Carlos
Guillen 3-4, raising his season average to .324.
-
Ryan
Zimmerman 1-4 with his 4th home run of the season. He's
quietly starting to heat up a bit.
-
Brian
Roberts 4-5. He's approaching .300 (sitting at .294 now).
-
Tori Hunter
2-4 with his 9th home run and 8th stolen base. 30/30 candidate
in his walk year?
-
Aaron Hill
1-4 with his 7th home run. This represents a new career high
for Hill - who had a total of 9 home runs in 907 AB's coming into
the season. He's had a fair amount of doubles int he past, but
nothing to suggest this kind of increased power.
-
Hunter Pence
1-3 with his 5th double. You can't stop him.... Six game
hit streak.
-
Nelson Cruz
1-4 with his 2nd home run.
-
Michael
Young 2-4
-
Adam LaRoche
2-4 with a double. He now has 3 multi hit games in his last 4
games played.
-
Chris Young
1-1 with his 6 SB was pulled early with a strained groin.
-
Troy
Tulowitzki 2-4, his 2nd multi hit game in a row. He is also
working on a 4 game hit streak.
-
Garrett
Atkins 2-4, first multi hit game in over 2 weeks.
-
Mike Sweeney
2-3, 2nd straight multi hit game.
-
Reggie
Willits 2-4 with his 9th stolen base. He's now hitting .371
and has had three straight multi-hit games.
-
Casey
Kotchman 2-4 with his 7th double. He now has hits in 6 of his
last 7 days.
-
Russell
Martin 2-3 with his 12th double. He's now at .326 for the
year.
-
Dan Johnson
2-3 with 3 walks, 4 runs scored and his 5th home run. His
first extra base hit since May 11th.
-
Bobby Crosby
1-3 with 2 bb's. 8 game hitting streak - is he finally turning
things around?
-
Jack Cust
2-3 with 2 bb's and a strikeout.
-
Travis Buck
3-5 with a double and home run. Buck's numbers look like
someone that is going to have a very good 2nd half. This
year's Nick Markakis?
-
Ichiro
Suzuki 2-4 with 3 stolen bases.
Pitching
-
Byung-Hyun
Kim - 5.1 IP with 5 k's. He started for Florida last night, so
you can eliminate him from the closer mix for now.
-
Andrew
Miller - 6 IP with 4 hits allowed, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts in his
first career start. Can't ask for much more from someone who
was pitching in College a year ago. He's a good long term
keeper, but is just keeping the seat warm for Jeremy Bonderman until
he returns from the DL.
-
Ted Lilly -
7 IP with 6 hits, 2 walks allowed and 6 k's. His ERA now
stands at 2.68 on the year with 54 k's and 10 walks. This is
the breakthrough season we all gave up on about 3 years ago.
-
Oliver Perez
- 7 IP, 5 hits allowed, 2 walks and 5 k's. He now has 5 wins
and an ERA of 2.90 to go with 48 k's in 49.2 IP. What's not to
like?
-
Boof Bonser
- 7 IP, 3 hits allowed, 1 walk and 11 k's. He's been pitching
very well for the past month - his first few starts really inflated
his ERA, which now stands at 3.91 to go along with 67 k's in 57.2
IP. Walks are a concern, but he's a great pickup.
-
Jon Lieber -
7 IP, 6 hits, no walks and 7 k's. He's been successful as a
starter this year.
-
Eric Gagne -
1 IP with 2 strikeouts, and his 2nd save. Most importantly, he
didn't get hurt!
-
Jeff Francis
- 7.1 IP, 7 hits allowed and 6 k's. All in less than 80
pitches. Third consecutive solid start - ERA has dropped 1.59
in that time.
-
Barry Zito -
4 IP, 6 hits, 7 bb's and 7 ER's. Welcome home!
-
Chris Young
- 6.2 IP with 6 hits allowed, 1 bb and 5 strikeouts. He now
has a 2.89 ERA on the season to go with a 7.2 k/9 and bb/9 of 3.6.
Unless he improves his control the ERA won't remain under 3.
5/18/07
Batting
-
Ryan Garko
1-3 with his 5th home run.
-
Jermaine Dye
2-3 with his 6th double and 7th home run.
-
Bobby Abreu
0-4, but leading off for the 2nd straight game.
-
Mike Sweeney
2-3 with 6th double breaking out of a 2-21 slump.
-
Felipe Lopez
3-4 with his 8th double and 2nd triple. Lopez has had a rough
season so far.
-
Chipper
Jones 1-4 with his 11th home run. Only Chipper's 2nd game back
from the DL, but he's picked up right where he left off with extra
base hits in both games.
-
Aramis
Ramirez 2-4 with his 10th home run.
-
Ronny
Paulino 1-3 with his 3rd home run. His 2nd home run in the
past 3 games. He did have a .470 SLG in AA and AAA, so he
could be a 15 home run candidate if he gets 500 AB's.
-
Jeremy
Hermida 2-3 with a walk. He's now hitting .500 since he returned
from the DL. Grab him if he's available - before it's too
late.
-
Hanley
Ramirez 2-4 with his 14th stolen base. He batted 3rd last
night for the 4th time this year.
-
Pat Burrell
2-4 with 8th double and 5th home run. He's starting to heat
up.
-
Gabe Gross
2-2 with 2 home runs. Gross is an interesting candidate if he
ever gets a full time job - unfortunately he can't hit lefthanders.
Much like Geoff Jenkins. If anything, this might complicate
the Brewers corner OF positions even more.
-
Chris Young 2-5 with his 10th double.
Multiple hits in 6 of his last 9 games. He's a potential 5
tool CF. He won't be underrated for much longer.
-
Randy Winn 3-6 to extend his 16 game hit
streak. He is also 8 for his last 15.
-
Delmon Young 2-5 with his 5th and 6th home
runs of the season. He'd showed signs of breaking out recently
- and it looks that is now full steam ahead.
-
Brendan Harris 2-4 to raise his average to
.358, he's now 9 for his last 14.
-
Reggie
Willits 3-3 with 2 runs. The rookie is now hitting .366 on the
season.
-
Ichiro
Suzuki 2-5. He's all the way up to .320 now.
-
Adrian
Beltre 3-4 with 2 doubles.
Pitching
-
Johan
Santana - 7 IP, 4 hits, 2 bb's and 11 k's.
-
Fausto
Carmona - 9 IP, 4 hits, 2 bb's and 4 k's. Outdueling Santana
and lowered his ERA to 2.55. Sell high - his k/bb ratio is
20/14. He's more Chien Ming-Wang than Johan Santana.
-
Ben Sheets -
7.2 IP, 5 hits allowed, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. His first
game with more than 5 strikeouts this season!
-
Tim Lincecum
- 7 IP, 2 hits, 1 walk and 10 strikeouts while out-dueling Roy
Oswalt. Welcome to the majors - it looks like it took 2 starts
for Lincecum to adjust to major league hitters. He could have
comparable numbers to what Fransisco Liriano put up last year.
-
Scott Kazmir
- 4 IP, 3 hits allowed, 6 walks and 9 k's. Control has been an
issue for Kazmir this year, but this was his worst start so far.
Ninth straight game with over 100 pitches.
-
Brad Lidge 1
IP and 2 hits allowed while taking the loss. It wasn't a save
opportunity, but he was pitching in the 12th inning of a tie game.
This won't inspire any confidence in his manager at a time when
rumors were circulating that he might be taking back the closer's
role sometime soon.
-
Bartolo
Colon 7 IP, 9 hits, 3 bb's and 1 strikeout. He's now 5-0, but
his strikeout numbers have been very inconsistent. Not worth
the risk to me, sell high.
5/17/07
Batting
-
Bobby Abreu
2-4 with his 2nd home run of the season. For the former 30
home run hitting outfielder, we can only hope this is the start of
something. For the record, he was hitting behind Josh Phelps
in yesterday's lineup.
-
A.J.
Pierzynski 2-4 with his 7th home run. He's hitting in the
3-hole lately and could pickup additional RBI opportunities there.
-
Mark
Teixeira continues his hot hitting with a 3-4 night including his
6th home run.
-
Elijah Dukes
1-4. This is noteworthy since he was at the top of the Devil
Ray lineup.
-
Brendan
Harris 3-5 to raise his average to .352. He has limited
speed/power potential, but he is also 7 for his last 10 with middle
infield eligibility.
-
Delmon Young
2-4 with 2 runs. After a horrible 2 weeks, it looks like Young
is finally turning it around with his 2nd 2-hit night in a row.
-
Grady
Sizmemore 2-4 with 2 stolen bases. He is now 6 for his last 9.
-
Esteban
German 1-3 with his 4th stolen base while getting the start at DH.
They are finding ways to get him into the lineup.
-
Ryan Shealy
2-4 in his return from the DL. Keep an eye on him - he had 134
minor league home runs.
-
Jack Cust
1-3 with his 7th home run. Who thought he'd have more home
runs that Albert Pujols, Ryan Howard or Lance Berkman on May 17th?
-
Ichiro
Suzuki 2-4. His average rose from .286 to .317 in 2 days.
-
Reggie
Willits 2-5 with his 8th stolen base to raise his average to .344.
Willits is a Juan Pierre type, having hit 14 home runs and stealing
129 bases during his minor league career (414 games).
-
Ryan
Zimmerman 2-3 with a double and his 3rd home run. Zimmerman
has been disappointing so far this season, hopefully this game gives
him a jump-start.
-
Hunter Pence
continued his torrid pace, going 4-4 with his 4th home run.
Berkman, Lee and Pence give Houston it's best lineup in years - now
they just need to replace Biggio/Ausmus.
-
J.J. Hardy
1-4 with his 13th home run!
-
Brad Hawpe
2-4 with 2 home runs. This gives him a grand total of 3 on the
season. Unfortunately his numbers look like a platoon player -
.469 OPS vs. LHP and .829 vs. RHP.
-
Adam LaRoche
3-4 with his 4th home run. Don't look now, but he's 6 for his
last 11 with 3 extra base hits.
-
Miguel
Cabrera 2-4 - breaking an 0-13 skid.
-
Jeremy
Hermida 2-3 with a bb. He was a top sleeper back in 2006, he
could finally be getting on track.
-
Kevin
Kouzmanoff 3-3 raising his average to .163. He's no2 5 for his
last 7.
-
Damion
Easley 2-4 with his 6th home run and 2 strikeouts.
-
David Wright
2-4 with his 10th double and 8th stolen base. He's 14 for his
last 36 with 7 extra base hits and 5 stolen bases.
Pitching
-
John Danks -
7 IP with 7 k's, 2 walks and 7 hits allowed. Another solid
start for Danks, who could improve as the season continues.
Control has occassionally been the major area of concern with Danks,
but he has yet to walk more than 3 hitters in a game this year and
hasn't allowed more than 4 runs.
-
C.C.
Sabathia - 8 IP, 5 hits, 1 bb and 5 k's to run his record to 6-1.
He's one of the top pitchers in the AL and you won't be able to buy
low on him for much longer.
-
Kiko Calero
- 0.2 IP, 2 hits and 1 walk while blowing his first save
post-Street.
-
A.J. Burnett
- 9 IP, 3 hits, 2 bb's and 10 strikeouts. This is his 4th
straight start with more than a strikeout per inning.
-
Bob Wickman
- 1 IP, 0 ER. First game back from the DL.
-
Cole Hamels
- 8 IP, 2 hits, 1 bb and 11 k's. At the very least, he's the
top pitcher in the NL East.
-
Kevin Gregg
- 1 IP and his 2nd save of the year.
-
Jorge Sosa -
7 IP, 1 hit, 3 bb's and 5 k's. He's now 3-0 on the year.
Sell now.
-
Randy Wolf -
5 IP with 7 k's and 1 bb. He's is now averaging 10.5 k/9 on
the season.
5/16/07
Batting
-
Curtis
Granderson 2-5 with his 6th stolen base. He is quietly putting
together a solid year - and is a good 4th OF in mixed formats.
-
Justin
Morneau 2-5 with 2 home runs. He now has 11 on the year.
He didn't get hot until June in 2006 and still won the MVP.
Should end up over 40 home runs this year.
-
Jason Kubel
2-4 with his 1st home run of the year. He does have 9 doubles,
and has started to heat up lately with a 1.076 OPS in the last week.
-
Grady
Sizemore 4-5 with his 6th home run. Good way to break out of a
slump.
-
Josh
Barfield 3-5. He has had multiple hits in 5 of his last 10
games - a good buy low candidate.
-
Esteban
German 1-5 to extend his modest 5 game hit streak. He has only
1 steal during this stretch, but with Mark Grudzielank and Alex
Gordon struggling he might force his way into the lineup.
-
John Buck
1-3 with his 7th home run. The breakout season continues.
-
Ichiro
Suzuki 5-5. All the sudden he's over .300 again.
-
Kenji
Johjima 2-4 with his 5th home run. Continues to exceed
expectations.
-
Richie
Sexson 0-4. Again.
-
Delmon Young
2-3 with 2 bb's. He's down to the 7th spot in the lineup after
a rough couple of weeks. Hopefully this is the start of a hot
streak.
-
Nelson Cruz
1-4, starting in place of Sosa. He's been playing full time
since 5/8, keep an eye on him - his minor league numbers show a
solid speed/power combo.
-
Carlos Lee
4-4 with 2 home runs. He now has a 1.145 OPS for the month.
-
Hunter Pence
3-3 with his 4th double and 3rd home run. I think he's here to
stay.
-
Carlos Ruiz
2-4 with his 2nd home run. He hit 19 home runs combined
between AAA and Philadelphia last year to go along with 47 walks and
only 64 strikeouts. A solid young catcher.
-
Connor
Jackson 2-4 with his 1st home run of the season. He's had a
rough start, hopefully this is the start of something.
-
Hanley
Ramirez 3-4 with another stolen base.
-
Jeremy
Hermida 1-4 with his 1st home run. First game back from the DL
- is he ready to break out after a rough rookie season?
-
Cliff Floyd
3-5. He's a forgotten man, but he can be useful as a 5th OF if
he starts getting regular AB's.
-
Rafael
Furcal 4-5 for the 2nd straight day. Still no steals though.
-
Russell
Martin 2-3 with his 11th double. Justifying our rank as the
top fantasy catcher in baseball right now.
-
Albert
Pujols 2-5. Will this jolt his out of his season-long slump.
Homerless in May.
Pitching
-
Justin
Verlander - 7 IP, 2 runs allowed, 7 k's and 0 bb's.
Verlander's k/9 ratio has picked up substantially from 2006.
He did show solid strikeout potential during his minor league career
and I'd expect him to end up with around 150 k's this year.
Another interesting stat from Tuesday - 120 pitches thrown.
Verlander has thrown under 98 pitches only once this season.
-
Fernando
Cabrera 0.1 IP, 3 hits, 1 bb and 2 home runs - making Borowski's job
look much safer. Has allowed a run in 5 of his last 6 outings.
-
Ramon Ortiz
1 IP, 7 hits, 1 bb and 6 ER. The Twins are debating whether to
recall Kevin Slowley, Matt Garza or Scott Baker to replace Sidney
Ponson. Maybe they should call up all of them?
-
Joakim Soria
0.2 IP, 2 hits one walk and he took the loss. Not a good sign,
as Dotel may return by the end of the month.
-
Jesse
Litsch's major league debut - 8.2 IP, 4 hits allowed, 3 walks and
one strikeout. Litsch was an unheralded prospect coming into
the season, but his 0.96 ERA at AA earned him a quick promotion.
He's a control guy as his minor league stats show (8.1 K/9 and 1.4
BB/9) so keep a close on him and don't expect a dominant rookie
season.
-
Daniel
Cabrera 8 IP, 3 hits, 5 walks, 6 k's. In 4 of his last 5
starts, he's walked 4 or more batters and he hasn't struck out more
than 6.
-
Felix
Hernandez 3.2 IP, 7 hits and 3 walks to go along with 5 k's.
He's lucky he only gave up 3 runs, could have been much worse.
-
Jamie
Shields 8 IP, 6 hits, no walks, 5 k's. Another solid start -
is he the real ace of the staff?
-
Brendan
McCarthy 7 IP, 6 hits, 3 walks and 7 k's. His last 3 starts
have been decent and the 7 k's represent a season high.

Randy
Johnson 6 IP, 1 hit 9 k's. He struck out 9 guys and threw
under 80 pitches - that shows how dominant he was last night.
Try to buy low if you still can.
-
Adam
Wainwright 2.2 IP, 0 k's, 8 ER. Ouch - ERA shoots up over 6.

Batting
-
Casey
Kotchman - 1-1 with 3 walks and a Grand Slam. He's always had
potential - could this be the start of a hot streak? He also
had 3 hits the night before.
-
Mike Napoli
1-4 with a double. A home run the night before - is he finally
coming around?
-
Julio Lugo
2-4 with 3 RBI and his 12th SB of the season. A Red Sox with a
possible 30 steal season? Stop the press!
-
Troy Glaus
2-4 with 3 RBI and his 7th HR. He's quietly hitting .324
on the season.
-
Jay Gibbons
2-4 with his 3rd home run of the year. He's finally coming
around - OPS of 1.326 in the last week
-
Bobby Crosby
2-3. Don't look know, but Crosby is finally starting to come
around - 5 extra base hits and 1.105 OPS in the past week. He
also has 5 steals on the season - only 3 from his career high.
-
Pat Burrell
1-4 with his 4th home run and 3rd in the past week.
-
Rafael
Furcal 4-5. Still homerless, and he somehow didn't score or
steal a base.
-
Jim Edmonds
2-4 with a double - his 2nd of the season in 110 AB's. Avoid
him until he starts to produce at least SOME power.
-
Hanley
Ramirez 2-4 with 2 SB's. He's hitting .333 on the year with 12
steals now. Jose Reyes light.
-
David Wright
3-4 with 4th home run. He's finally coming around as well,
with a 1.370 OPS in the last week to go along with 4 home runs and 2
steals.
Pitching
-
Jason
Bergman - 8 IP, 10 k's and only 3 baserunners allowed.
(Bergman has an interesting track record. In his minor league
career, his strikeout rate below AA was 7.3 per 9 and in AA and
above it was 9.2. He doesn't look like a fluke, he's young, so
he'll be inconsistent, but grab him while you can.)
-
Jeremy
Accardo picked up his 2nd save in 1 IP, with 1 K, 0 runs.
(He's still unscored upon in 2007)
-
Chad
Billingsley 2 IP with 3 K's. Billingsley has been nasty over
the past week with 8 K's in 4 IP and no hits allowed.
-
Matt
Lindstrom 1 IP, 4 runs in the 7th inning. He doesn't seem to
be at the top of the closer list for Florida.
